Sallie Smiled Production - Finishing The Impossible
HISTORY
A.I. began emerging into the public in 2022, and studying it
further sparked a question of how far will this go? Will it become
woven into society so tightly that what would happen if an
android was able to became pregnant?
This sparked me to write a short screenplay that I titled ‘Sallie
Smiled’. About a female android that becomes pregnant. Being
inspired by Blade Runner, and Philip K Dick, I wrote the story as
a cyberpunk drama fit for a graphic novel.
With a small amount of money for a budget, I went forward and
started producing it the summer of 2023 in Vancouver, Canada.
THE CHALLENGE
The film shoot was longer than expected and under pressure.
Once filming wrapped and post-production began with the
editing, I became incredibly ill with a life threatening
disease that I fought for the next year and a half. My focus on
Sallie Smiled kept me going, and in my recovery the short film
story expanded into a much larger vision.
I conquered my illness as I was completing Sallie Smiled the
short film. I also learned the post-production skills for the
coming of A.I. film production.
I would not of finished Sallie Smiled if not for A.I. VFX, and
have now developed an A.I. film production studio for the
advancement of A.I. VFX in its inclusion into motion pictures.
